This is what happens…

…when your six year old tosses a bag of bakery rolls in the very back of the potato bin and nobody knows they are there. For a month. I tracked down the bad smell and threw out several pounds of innocent potatoes before discovering that the smell was actually coming from this. It might have made a nice science project, but I was afraid to open it within a mile of my house.

  1. I’m so glad I decided to look at your blog while I was eating lunch! LOL. That is so gross. Once when Curtis and I were first married, we thought we had a dead animal in apart. After about a week of this horrible smell, Curtis discovered a bag of potatoes on top of the fridge. He put them up there months earlier, but being only 5ft1in tall, I hadn’t a clue. STINKY! BTW, the sesame chicken was delicous, you have to try it. And the spinach pesto was really good too, but I didn’t love it on the fish. I will make it again with pasta and chicken.

  2. OH!!!!! How awful!!! Don’t even know how you took the picture!!! Thank goodness, the computer isn’t scratch and sniff πŸ™‚

  3. Eewww!! I can relate, unfortunately. I too have thrown away perfectly good potatoes before I found the hidden bag of moldy nastiness that was the real stinker!I have to say it never occurred to me to take a picture of it, though!Really gross post! πŸ™‚
